MORE!, Acid Rain, Deathless, Sepsisįlashing Daggers, Poison Dart, Absinthe, Dead of Night The recommended team comp against The Librarian is Blight.Ĭrush, Defender, Bolster, Hold the Line, Retribution If you don't, take out one or two books first, then try to immobilize him (think Leper's Bash skill or Bear Trap) and focus him If you have lots of ranged damage, go for him.Books are immune to Bleed and Blight, but not Burn.Once all his book piles are dealt with, his only skill will be Burning Bright, which does massive damage to everyone and inflicts Burning, so essentially this is a damage race.Its Categorize move arranges your party in alphabetical order, so Forward skills can be key to victory.Fire Resistance trinkets and combat items will be a big help, as will items or skills that target him to get rid of Dodge.In the Sprawl you face The Librarian, which attacks frequently with high damage Burning attacks while protecting itself with books. If you're having any trouble defeating a Lair boss, we have a series of tips below to get you going. Waiting until the fourth region is also possible, but if don't have 100% scouting, there is a chance you don't encounter a Lair boss, thus semi-bricking your run. If you want to play it safe, it's best to wait until the third region before taking on a Lair boss, but experienced and/or lucky players may wish to chance it early to gain the benefit of the Trophy reward as well as trinkets and items as soon as possible, thus snowballing the expedition (a high risk, high reward approach). Lair bosses can be tough, but with a strong and well-managed team comp, and optionally, some items that target the boss' strengths and weaknesses, they'll go down with little trouble. ![]() One such Trophy is required if you're progressing Resentment or any later Confession. The key reward is the Trophy, which you can attach to your Stagecoach for powerful bonuses. The third phase is the boss itself, which offers a ton of rewards, some extremely valuable. The first two phases of the encounter see you fighting a series of not especially difficult enemies upon defeating them, you'll receive minor rewards and an option to escape if you don't feel ready for the next battle. >Harvest child is suspectible to BLD and BRN and resistant to BLI.Lair bosses are random encounters you'll find during your trek through the various regions of Darkest Dungeon II. >Killing both meats is generally ill-advised as this will make harvest child use "Cruel Harvest" twice a turn. ![]() Killing a meat will naturally make the boss use Cruel Harvest more often, so be aware. >Either rush the boss or maybe kill 1 meat depending on which one you tend to find the most problematic (for me it's the Putrid meat which targets the frontline). >Killing a meat leaves no corpse (important).
